Fairy God Mother

Remember when we were kids? We had the tooth fairy, Tinker Bell, The Fairy God Mother. As we got older though life set in and all of our childhood fairies no longer were around.

UNTIL NOW!

I have the perfect fairy and I swear it is the best one of them ALL! I have my own CLEANING FAIRY! What more could a working or stay at home mom wish for?

This is my Cleaning Fairy! One of my best friends Mindy! I know everyone says don't mix business with pleasure but I have to honestly say this arrangement works out great for us!  I told her what I was looking for and what I needed done and she gave me a very fair price.

I have my cleaning fairy come about every 2 weeks sometimes 3 weeks depending on the condition of the house and paychecks etc. I don't ask her to do the nitty gritty cleaning like baseboards, ceiling fans, etc. She helps me with the stuff that allows me to get to the other stuff that doesn't have to be done regularly.

She normally vacuums my floors, sweeps and cleans my tile. She cleans my downstairs bathroom and my bathroom. She will strip my bed and remake it as well as do my laundry. I don't ask her to put it up since she doesn't know what drawer is what but she does fold it and lays it out in piles so all we have to do is put it up.

My bathroom takes her the longest because out in Arizona was have very hard water and so our glass shower doors really take it hard with all the film so she really digs in and it always looks so pretty when she gets done.

I don't have her clean the kids rooms or their bathroom (yuck! I did tackle it myself last night!!). She is there to help me not keep them from learning to take care of their own rooms and bathroom. However, because she helps me it frees up more of their time not having to help me so much.

Now, I will be the first one to say that I am LUCKY LUCKY to have a cleaning fairy. But if you think that it keeps me from having to stay up on the daily cleaning that really isn't the case. However, it does  make my days better because I know that I can do a quick vacuum or a quick sweep and it isn't going to be terrible because twice a month I am getting such a thorough job by my fairy! It helps me unbelievably keep up with the daily stuff and I can tackle some of the bigger stuff it is hard to get to.

I was told once that this was the best thing for moms. I have to agree and I have to say with 1000% certainty that this is some of the best money I spend every month. It helps  me keep it together and not fret so much when I might be a few loads of laundry behind.

If you don't have one already I encourage you to find your own cleaning fairy! Let them know what your budget is and see what they can do to help within that budget. Remember just because it isn't everything every little bit of help really makes a difference. If you are out in Arizona and don't have a fairy yet - I know a great one that is super dependable and does an awesome job and even folds your TP super cute! Give me a shout!

Savings Savings Savings!!

I was thinking this pay period my grocery shopping may be a little more than what I wanted to spend. Fry's wasn't having any special Mega Ten Deals and no additional coupons but I still set out to do the best I could.

First I went to Safeway (it is only about 2 miles from Fry's so no next extra gas was wasted). They were having specials on the Gusher Fruit Snacks for .99/each when you buy 4. Safeway makes all coupons a dollar and I had 2 coupons for .55/off 2 boxes of Gushers which would be 2.00 off the 4 boxes. So on my first order I had 4 boxes of Gushers for $1.97 except I also had 9 $1.00 off coupons for Vitamin Water. But if I bought 10 I also got 2 additional items for free. When I checked out the Catalina coupons printed off a save $2.00 coupon for your next order AND a save $1.50 on your next 3 Gusher/fruit roll-up purchase. I ended up buying 16 boxes of Gushers, 10 Vitamin Waters, and 2 Smart Waters for only $2.37.
Even with only paying $2.37 I still had 3 $2.00 coupons off my next order and since Fry's is taking competitor coupons I used this $6.00 off my Fry's order.

I always search for coupons where there is XX of one item so that will be $1.00 off the one item and then I always try to pair with a competitor coupon so I can get even more off. I still have one $1.50 off my next 3 boxes of gushers so I might go back to Safeway tomorrow to get another round since they are practically free and normally at best they are $2.50 a box

In total I have $387 in groceries and spent $156!! As you can tell from the pics with this $156 spend I still bought a lot of stuff including 6 bottles of Tide detergent, 3 bags of cat food, 16 bottles of Propel Water, 10 bottles of Vitamin Water, 2 Smart Water, 16 boxes of Gushers, 6 boxes of General Mills cereal. Excedrin Extra Strength,  2 Degiorno Pizzas, 1 California Kitchen Pizzas, 5 packages of hamburger meat, a bag of shrimp and 1 bag of chicken breasts. 2 bottles of Pantene, Charmin toilet paper, and LOTS more!!
SUCCESS!!!!

More Than One Kind of Family

When you look up the definition of family there are many different versions to describe what a family is. One of my families is my church foundry. I started attending my church The Foundry back in the fall of 2008.

Our church was started by a planter church. Our pastor Ashley Evans and his wife Briggette felt the calling to be missionaries and uprooted and moved their entire family out to Tucson to minister to our community and teach about God.

Over the past few years we have taken part in many church activities. Our church is awesome at involving the community and reaching out to the families and youth to get everyone involved to have a great time while learning about God.
Pastor Ashley at Make a Difference Day - We planted trees for our local middle school! That was hard work!

Pastor Ashley at one of our Memorial Day celebrations - Our church honors and supports all of our military and veterans.

Pastor Ashley manning the grill! Not only can he grill but he can make a mean brisket!

Our church's youth group is awesome! We call them G.I.F.T (God Inspired Foundry Teens).  We love our youth group!

Pastor Ashley as always doing an awesome job leading our youth group!
I think for many people life gets busy. Weekends are busy.  I love my church and I love my church family. Over the last couple of months I haven't been attending on Sunday afternoons like I should or would like. I can make every excuse possible but bottom line I should be there, I should have my family there. I know though however, that God loves me. God forgives me for any of my sins. I am fortunate that I have an unbelievable Pastor and church family!

Pastor Ashley and Briggette are an amazing asset to our community and I know that God spoke to them and placed them in our small community for a reason.

I encourage each and every one of you to find where  you are needed. Find where God is calling you! Know in your heart that just because you don't make it every Sunday that God still loves you and God still forgives you for your sins (when you ask).

An unbelievable day of celebration as Pastor Ashley performed around 10 baptisms of our youth!

What a celebration!!

Thank you Pastor Ashley and Briggette for everything you have brought to our community! Thank you for your continued sacrifice to share God's word and provide a welcoming Church to anyone that wants to attend!
