Giving Back

I have a special friend and she lost her mother last year after battling a grueling fight with Leukemia.

She is on a mission and I support her on this mission! She wants to fight Leukemia and Lymphoma! She wants to provide support, funds, and awareness about these terrible diseases.

On October 22, 2011 my daughter, Haley, and I will be joining Teresa for the Light the Night Walk in Tucson, Arizona. The funds raised will go towards the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Can you spare $1.00?

That is all I am asking for! I have many special people in my life and I am blessed to have many friends on facebook and in the blogging world and if we all spared just $1.00 it would add up so quickly and go to a great cause to find a cure for cancer and to provide support for the families battling these diseases.

She is a Tastefully Simple Consultant and she does this so she can be a stay at home mom while her husband serves in the U.S. Army. My oldest, my firstborn, my crazy boy turns 13 today! Where have the years gone? Why am I so emotional about this today? Most parents probably are doing a dance that they are closer to moving out! Cody you are an amazing person! I can't really say kid now can I? You are totally cool, awesome, growing up, making better decisions, and I know you love us too!

You have had a crazy life so far - living in Panama, Puerto Rico, Kansas, TN, and Arizona! We sure have put you to the test already with adapting and rolling through life with what comes at ya!

I love that you used to call food noni's, you would as "What'dyou do", said you were a carnivore because you are only a meat eater!  Thank you for being the "man" many times when you were too young to have this responsibility. Hugging me when I was sad, wiping my tears, getting a band aid for my boo boos.

I love that you love to cook with me, hang out on the couch and watch TV with me, go to the road runner with me to get you a kit kat get a Mt. Dew.

You have even more great things ahead of you! You can do anything, be anything, and accomplish anything you set your mind too! You are an awesome person and we are so lucky you are our son!!

We love you and we are always here for you no matter how many trips you have had around the sun!
